Ray Morales is 19 years old and has aspirations to become a DJ, but in order to make that happen he needs to solve his cash flow problems so he can buy the necessary equipment. To that end he takes a second job working for the local loan shark, and he is assigned to observe the finance of a pawn shop, where he becomes friends with the quirky Armenian shop owner and his charming niece. But soon he finds himself in a bind where he must choose either his dangerous crime boss or his new friend to receive his loyalty; both have a lesson to impart about the importance of community responsibility.
