Beethoven & Brahms
N/A Beethoven and Brahms have much in common. Both hailed from Austria, were major figureheads of the Romantic period of music, and remain two of the most performed composers in the world. Here, two of their most beautiful and emotionally resonant works--Beethoven`s widely adored Emperor Concerto and Brahm`s Symphony No.3, Op. 97 --are performed by the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. Homero Francesch, acclaimed as a pianist since his first public appearance at a mere 13-years-old, is the featured soloist. The 1997 performance is conducted by the French maestro Serge Baudo.
